Camp Blaze is a nonprofit organization committed to maximizing
women's involvement in the fire service through education, networking, advocacy, and policy development.The mission of Blaze is to develop, support, and implement an annual camp for qualified young women to learn about the fire service and to have a great time while they're at it.
Young women will learn, among many other things:
- Rappelling
- Using self-contained breathing apparatus
- Search and rescue
- Aerial ladder climbing
- Teamwork
When: July 30 - August 6, 2011 in North Bend, Washington.
