Mohamed Sambou, Technology, Engineering & Communications High School student, was awarded the ACTSIX scholarship to attend Gonzaga University. The ACTSIX scholarship is a leadership and scholarship program that connects students from urban high schools to faith based colleges. There are three phases to the program in the final phase Mohamed was one of nineteen students to participate in an on campus experience. Eventually only ten students were chosen from our area for the scholarship.
The Evergreen campus was very fortunate because we had two students that made it to the final phase. In addition to Mohamed, Etevise Le’iato was a semifinalist for the ACTSIX Scholarship and has been accepted to Northwest University and Pacific Lutheran University.
