UW Nursing school camp!

UW School of Nursing/UW Medical Center Camp 2009
Are you interested in learning about what the nursing field is all about?
Do you want to know how to get into nursing school?
Apply to participate in the University of Washington School of Nursing's Nurse Camp 2009! This week-long day camp is offered exclusively to current high school sophomores and juniors.
In order to promote diversity in nursing, this program is offered to and focuses on minority and low-income students. Nurse Camp is FREE to participants because it is sponsored by the UW School of Nursing Diversity Awareness Group (DAwG) and UWMC.
Participants must be able to commit to be at the camp from 8:30am until 5:00pm, July 20-24, 2009.

In camp, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Shadow nurses at UWMC in various different units
  • Get your CPR certification!
  • Learn how to prepare for college and how to prepare to get into nursing school
  • Have a chance to learn in the School of Nursing Learning Lab!
  • Meet nurses and students in the program
  • Meet new friends!
  • Get free stuff!

What do you have to do to participate in nurse camp:·

Complete the application with the help of your parent/guardian.
